L’histoire des gares de Gorges

Les gares de Gorges" (Gorges railway stations), a free exhibition based on research and the collection of archives from the 19th century to the present day. Using archives, plans, deliberations, correspondence and personal accounts, a study has been carried out to trace the development of Gorges' railway infrastructure and the changes it has brought to the area. From 20 September 2025, an outdoor panel will be installed on the site of the former Gohardière stopover, near the footpath. This heritage display will tell the story of this forgotten stopping-off point, which nonetheless set the pace for the lives of many local residents until the early 21st century. A talk on the history of the local stations will be given from 5.30pm, followed by a drink at 6.30pm.
