Concert Samindongrock

Samindongrock is a unique trio that fuses Korean geomungo, Western double bass and Eastern percussion. Founded by composer and musician E' Joung-Ju, the group also includes double bassist Simon Mary and percussionist Anne-Laure Bourget.

E' Joung-Ju, who composes all the group's music, is inspired by sanjo and minyo, Korean folk music of the 18th century, while incorporating elements of jazz and rock. Thanks to this combination of instruments and styles, Samindongrock creates a rich and original sound universe, where each piece reflects the diversity of cultural influences and the beauty of exchanges between musical traditions.

Their music, deeply personal and innovative, offers a journey through human emotions, celebrating the harmonious encounter between East and West.
