From the Divatte levee to the Loire, follow an enthusiastic guide and experience the history of the river through games, stories and shared landscapes.
Description
At Divatte-sur-Loire, the Loire is told from a human perspective. Guided step by step, you set off from the Pierre Percée lookout to explore the river, its landscapes and the people who have shaped it.
The guide shares a thousand stories: fishermen, boatmen, market gardeners... each stop becomes a living scene.
Games, anecdotes, pictures to manipulate: young and old alike become actors: we guess the fish, discover the trade boats, listen to the story of the raising of the Divatte.
As you listen to the anecdotes, imagine the history of the port, the fishing rowing boat, the hemp and tobacco sheds, the lily of the valley greenhouses, the wicker culture... The belvedere itself becomes an open book, inspired by these traditions.
The tour continues on to the typical houses on the banks of the Loire, and ends with a guess at the recipe for beurre blanc, which originated in the Nantes vineyards at Saint-Julien-de-Concelles.
A lively, interactive guided tour to understand how a river shapes landscapes, trades and histories.
