A work of art in the heart of the historic streets of Clisson
Description
The town of Clisson is home to two works by Nantes artist Alain Thomas, including the Cascade aux toucans, transforming the rue de la Vallée into a lush tropical garden.
Since 1995, the artist has been collecting and painting South American birds one by one, starting with toucans, which are an inexhaustible source of expression for him, depicting them with extreme realism.
In this work, tropical flora plays the leading role, showing the unique biodiversity of South America. Ferns, araceae, palms, lianas and orchids colonise the painting and soar towards the light with imagination and fantasy.
Alain Thomas has created a fantastic garden that is uniquely his (and ours).
