This mill was first mentioned in 1634. Originally a flour mill, it was put to many uses before becoming an electricity generating plant for Clisson in the early 20th century. It was bought in 1821 by Baron Lemot's son to avoid the noise pollution in front of the Parc de la Garenne. He enlarged it and turned it into one of Clisson's finest L'Italienne factories.
Today, it houses the Clisson canoeing and kayaking centre.
