In order to constantly improve visitor satisfaction and the services they provide to their socio-professional partners, the local authority and the general public, many Tourist Offices have introduced an internal quality approach: Quality Tourism™.

In order to gain recognition for this continuous improvement in services, these quality approaches are based on dedicated standards or benchmarks.

The Quality Tourism™ mark

The Qualité Tourisme™ mark, created by the State, is the only State mark awarded to tourism professionals for the quality of their welcome and services.

It is the recognition of the continuous service quality improvement initiatives put in place by Tourist Offices. An audit is carried out every 5 years.

By the end of 2026, the Qualité Tourisme label will be replaced by the Destination d’Excellence label. In addition to the quality of our welcome and services, this label aims to further raise the standards of the sector in terms of eco-responsibility. Our Tourist Office is on its way to Destination d’Excellence!

Qualité Tourisme™ offers a number of advantages

  • Improving services for service providers. Firstly, through regular consultation during personalised appointments and general information meetings. Then there are working sessions by sector of activity and training sessions involving Tourist Office staff. In addition, we make regular visits to establishments and new tourist offers in the destination.
  • Growth in the number of overnight stays in commercial accommodation and in receipts from tourist tax. This helps to lighten the burden of running the Tourist Office on public finances.
  • The desire to make quality a value shared by all members of the team. To achieve this, we are deploying the necessary resources to maintain the Tourism Quality Mark and ensure the long-term future of the quality management system.
