Our must-sees Hellfest Festival park Hellfest Festival park

The Hellfest Festival park, France’s 2nd biggest festival, has become a must-see in the Vignoble Nantais all year round.

Hellfest Festival park Beyond the festival an unusual place to walk through

Just a stone’s throw from the historic centre of Clisson, Hellfest Festival park is 21 hectares of uniquely aesthetic scenery linked to theworld of metal music. The organisers have succeeded in creating a scenography and universe specific to the festival, linked to the themes of metal culture, giving the site a unique character that is incomparable with other sites in France.

Numerous artists have contributed to the development of this unique space, which is accessible all year round (excluding festival set-up and dismantling, generally from April to July). As soon as you arrive near the site, the tone is set with this gigantic “Hellfest Electric Guitar”, created in 2014 by the artist Jean-François Buisson, who is also behind several works to be discovered on the site, including the Hellfest Tree and the “Hellfist”.

Inspired by the religious, mythological and medieval worlds, and then hijacked by metal culture, the works of art on the site punctuate an area that has been laid out as both an ordinary ‘extra’ garden and an unusual place to stroll. The site, which has become an essential tourist attraction for the town of Clisson and its surrounding area, is a veritable open-air museum that also hosts sporting and cultural events.

Hellcity A brewery with a rock'n'roll flavour

Under the arches of Hellcity, the rock is flowing… and so is the foam. This traditional brasserie, open all year round, embodies the spirit of Hellfest well beyond the stage.

What’s on the menu? Beers brewed on site, bistronomic cuisine, a view of the Metal Corner sculptures and an electrifying soundtrack.

Hellcity is also a shop, tastings and a place where beer, music and Muscadet can be shared.

Open every day, the brewpub invites you to toast the year with the region.

And to extend the experience, a wide selection of official Hellfest merchandising awaits you in the Hellcity shop. T-shirts, accessories, posters… your look can rock too.

Craft beers 100% Clisson

IPA, Pale Ale, Rye Stout or Wheat Beer: eight Hellcity creations to enjoy on the spot. Each recipe has its own personality, from tropical aromas to roasted coffee. All brewed right here in Clisson, on the doorstep of the temple of metal.

The Guardian of Darkness

Every year,La Machine expands the richness of its imaginary world. It’s this world that has given rise to a unique creation for Hellfest: ” La Gardienne des Ténèbres” (The Guardian of Darkness).

She will be appearing “on stage” for the first time in Clisson at the2024 edition of Hellfest. La Gardienne des Ténèbres is due to join the Hellfest site on a permanent basis in the near future.

This chimera with the bust of a woman and the abdomen of a scorpion moves on eight legs in a thunder of wood and steel. It stands 10 metres tall and will be able to carry several passengers on its back. An on-board system enables it to spit fire and water.

Pandemonium A playground for little rockers

Children have their own stage too! Just opposite the Hellcity brewery, a brand new play area awaits them: The Pandemonium. It’s the result of a collaboration between Hellfest and Nantes-based collective MONsTR. Slides, climbing structures and cascading laughter are all on the programme. While the youngsters let off steam, the parents settle down in the shade of the parasols, between the benches and the gourmet bar. Churros, crêpes, ice creams and craft beers: everything you need to keep your tribe fuelled up… and stress-free for longer.

Your testimonials and reviews on Hellfest Festival park

Very atmospheric place

“A very atmospheric place! Huge car park (400 spaces), the sculptures are adorable. We were there before Halloween and the park and photos are wonderful. There are no toilets there now, take into account who is going to walk there for a long time. There are some lovely vineyards nearby.”

Hellfest - even outside the festival

“The visit is as enjoyable as ever. The scenery is superb and the site is vast, with plenty of places to sit, draw, read, relax or eat. You’ll now find La Gardienne and Hellcity, a very nice restaurant/bar. Access to the site is free outside the festival, so what more could you ask for? It’s always a pleasure to go back, and it’s well worth the diversions!
