La Boissière du Doré zoo An animal journey at the heart of the continents

At the Boissière du Doré Zoological Park, embark on a fascinating journey through the animal world. Explore the vast African plain where giraffes, zebras, antelopes and rhinoceroses roam over 8 hectares. A real trip around the world, just outside Nantes.

The zoo offers unforgettable experiences with its majestic felines (Sumatran tigers, servals, snow leopards, love leopards…) and its fascinating great apes (gibbons, gorillas, orang-utans). Discover the lions of West Africa, the brown bears of Europe, the wolves of Canada and the red pandas. You can also get up close and personal with the animals in the mini-farm.

Every year, a large number of births are added to this large family, proving the well-being of the species and the quality of the care given to the park’s animals. Depending on the season, you can watch the animals being fed.

Visits and events Share great moments of emotion

For even more intense experiences and memories that will last a lifetime, the zoo offers exceptional small-group visits. You can follow a zookeeper for a day or a feeding session, for a total immersion behind the scenes of the zoo. Visitors can choose from several packages to get up close and personal with the animals: Family’Vip, Soigneur Junior, Soigneur VIP and Instants Privilèges.

Wolf Territory What's new in 2025

La Boissière du Doré Zoo is unveiling its latest addition: Le Territoire des Loups, an area completely redesigned to accommodate a pack of 9 wolves. This natural setting offers a unique immersive experience, allowing visitors to observe these emblematic predators evolve freely in a hilly environment. A unique encounter with wolves, to be experienced on your next visit.

Very large enclosures

The enclosures are very large and well laid out, especially the Lions, Bears and Tigers, the three enclosures look very recent and really big. Africa Lodges

For an even more immersive weekend experience, spend a night at giraffe level in one of the Africa Lodges at La Boissière du Doré Zoo. Luxurious accommodation built on stilts with huge terraces. Overlooking the African plain, they offer spectacular views of the giraffes and rhinos. The lodges can accommodate up to 16 people, some with a jacuzzi on the terrace for an even more breathtaking experience!
