Vines give structure to the landscapes of the Vignoble Nantais. They hug the valleys, line the hillsides and run alongside the rivers. This contrasting geography gives the Loire vineyards their soft, ever-changing lines. The Muscadet-Sèvre-et-Maine appellation alone covers more than 6,000 hectares.
This terroir is based on soil inherited from the Armorican Massif: gneiss, granite, schist, gabbros… Ancient rocks that nourish the vines. Melon de Bourgogne, the only grape variety authorised for Muscadet, produces dry, mineral wines with delicate aromas. Each plot tells its own story. Each estate reveals its own signature.
Working the vines follows a rigorous cycle: pruning in winter, lifting in spring, harvesting in September. Some estates harvest by hand, others mechanise. But they all share the same exacting standards and love of their terroir.
