MorningFirst steps on the Hellfest sitein Clisson
The micro-adventure begins at Nantes station. It takes just twenty minutes by train to reach Clisson. The journey continues on foot from the station, through the streets of Clisson. This city, with its blond stones, red roofs and sloping streets, has an Italian flavour and a different pace of life.
As you walk along, the world changes. Bell towers give way to metal installations, and the approach of the Hellfest site makes itself felt: the volumes rise, the textures change, and the imagination takes hold.
This 21-hectare open-air museum is a collective work of art. Monumental guitar, Hellfist, Hellfest trees– each sculpture tells the story of a movement that has become part of the local heritage.
The site has been designed by artists associated with the metal world, in a setting inspired by mythology, religious symbols and the medieval imagination. It’s a free, raw exploration, full of details to unearth.
Perhaps you’ll be able to enjoy a special moment alone with Lilith. The Guardian of Darkness, a hybrid chimera conceived by La Machine, sometimes rests on the premises.
