François-Frédéric Lemot's imagination was the inspiration for the magnificent setting of the Garenne Lemot estate in the early 19th century. In the heart of a 13-hectare wood, the renowned sculptor built a Tuscan-style house and a neoclassical villa. He added ornamental structures (statues, grottoes, columns, tombs, etc.) to this plant-laden landscape to punctuate the walk. |
