La Coulée de la Logne is a 5-hectare natural and leisure area with footpaths, picnic areas, street furniture and wooden games for children, just a stone's throw from Vallet town centre, on the banks of the La Logne stream (a tributary of the Sanguèze) which runs through the town.
One of the original features of the Coulée de la Logne is the use of animals for the ecological upkeep of the green spaces - a practice known as ecopasturing. On the site, hardy animals such as Highland cows, Irish piebald donkeys, Poitou donkeys, sheep and goats are kept in paddocks. They play a natural part in maintaining the meadows, diversifying the flora and limiting invasive species - all while providing a fun attraction for visitors, especially the younger ones.
* For the health and well-being of the animals, it is forbidden to feed them.
