Discover the Sanguèze Valley, a charming natural area in the heart of the Nantes vineyards.
The Sanguèze valley is the small valley through which the river Sanguèze flows in the area around Le Pallet, a village in the Nantes vineyards between Nantes and Clisson. Once a small river on the former border between the Breton and Vendée territories, it flows for 44 km before joining the Sèvre Nantaise.
The valley and course of the Sanguèze offer a number of attractions for locals and visitors alike:
- Relaxation and picnics: there is a picnic area along the valley, near the Musée du Vignoble Nantais.
- Fishing: the river is popular for recreational fishing (in compliance with current local regulations).
- Walks and hikes: there are a number of walking routes along the valley, highlighting the natural surroundings and the heritage of Le Pallet and neighbouring towns.
