The markets

All year round, the markets of the Vignoble Nantais are a meeting place for strollers, gourmets and the curious. People come for the taste of local produce, for the pleasure of meeting new people and for the warm atmosphere that enlivens the village squares, the century-old covered market halls and the narrow streets of the town centre.

Clisson The heritage of Les Halles

Beneath the majestic medieval covered market halls, the Clisson market celebrates the senses. Every Tuesday and Friday morning, baskets fill up as you browse the stalls: warm bread, mature cheeses, seasonal fruit, Loire fish and crispy galettes. On Fridays, the market extends as far as the Château de Clisson car park, bringing together around a hundred traders. Here, the market is an art of living, a breath of fresh air in the heart of an Italian setting.

Vallet A lively morning in Place Charles de Gaulle

Every Sunday morning, the Vallet market attracts nearly 80 traders. Whether it’s vegetables, cheeses, poultry, spices or seasonal flowers, the town is alive with the bounty. The shops in the town centre remain open, extending the stroll between local delicacies and shop windows.

Saint-Julien-de-Concelles Sharing the soil

At Place Totton on Saturday mornings, you’ll find a wide range of local produce on display, including poultry, early produce, home-made burgers, cheeses, fish, homemade pasta and flowers. It’s a generous market that’s true to its market-gardening roots.

La Haye-Fouassière Taste in the middle of the week

On Wednesday mornings, the Place Pirmil is home to a small but varied market: greengrocers, butchers, cheesemongers, fishmongers, florists… Everyday products, to be enjoyed in all simplicity.

Le Loroux-Bottereau Sunday and Thursday evening appointments

On Sunday mornings, in Place Saint-Jean, a small municipal market showcases fresh produce and friendly exchanges. On Thursday evenings, from 4pm to 8pm, around fifteen producers take over, selling poultry, vegetables, eggs, cheese, ready-made meals and more.

La Chapelle-Heulin Friday evening market and short circuit

Every Friday from 4pm to 7.30pm, the Place du Centrebourg comes alive with an organic and local market. Beillevaire cheeses, Nant’ organic fruit and vegetables, bee-keeping, foodtrucks… a concentration of expertise on a human scale.

Aigrefeuille-sur-Maine Wednesday made easy

Behind the town hall, every Wednesday from 8am to 1pm, there’s a friendly little market. People come here to fill their shopping baskets, but above all to rediscover the relaxed atmosphere so typical of the villages of the Vignoble region.

Haute-Goulaine Fresh Tuesday mornings

Every Tuesday morning, in the Espace de Treille car park, visitors are welcomed by a fine selection of fresh produce. Seasonal vegetables, eggs, cold meats and fish make up a well-established local market.

Vieillevigne A touch of Saturday

Every Saturday morning in the Place de Verdun, the market offers fruit, vegetables, cheese, eggs, fish… and even shoes and plants in season. An eclectic, family-friendly atmosphere.

Gorges Saturday morning get-togethers

Every Saturday, the Place Maurice Renoul comes alive with the rhythm of trade and well-stocked baskets. Around twenty traders set up stalls right in the centre of town, including greengrocers, cheesemongers, pork butchers, fishmongers and traditional biscuit makers. Market gardeners rub shoulders with a local brewer, a roaster and the Gorges Winegrowers’ Association. The atmosphere remains simple and friendly, true to the village spirit.

Le Pallet Fresh produce at the foot of the church

Every Saturday morning, the market takes place in the Place de l’Église. Between 8.30am and 1pm, locals come to pick up seasonal fruit, vegetables and fish. Modest in size, but rich in quality produce, the market is an extension of the gourmet identity of this wine-growing commune.

Saint-Lumine-de-Clisson Sunday with flavours from around the world

The Place de l’Église has recently become home to a Sunday market, now part of the Marchés de France. Every Sunday morning, the stalls offer a mix of local produce and new discoveries, from greengrocers, cheesemongers and oyster farmers to Asian cuisine and Ukrainian specialities. There’s also a florist and a range of wellness products. The market attracts locals and the curious alike, enchanted by its friendly atmosphere and its central location in the heart of the village.
