What to do over the Christmas holidays in the Vignoble Nantais

In Clisson, the spirit of Christmas is fully alive in the cobbled streets and lively squares.
On 13, 14, 20 and 21 December 2025, the Clisson Christmas Market will take place under Les Halles, Place du Minage and Square Mathurin Crucy.
Local craftspeople, designers and producers will be offering original gift ideas, gourmet specialities and handmade decorations in a warm and friendly atmosphere.
On Saturdays, the market is open from 11am to 8pm, and on Sundays from 10am to 7pm.
The Christmas lights and decorations invite you to stroll through the streets of the medieval town, amidst decorated shop windows, Italianate facades and sparkling reflections on the River Sèvre.
It’s an enchanting setting for a winter stroll through one of the most beautiful jewels of the Vignoble Nantais.

Slip into the magic of Christmas at the Clisson ice rink!

From 20 December 2025 to 4 January 2026, come and enjoy Clisson’s temporary ice rink, open every day from 10am to 8pm. Whether you’re a spinning enthusiast or just enjoy a leisurely slide, it’s the perfect way to spend the festive season with family and friends.

During all the school Christmas holidays, HellCity welcomes visitors every afternoon with its festive snack bar set up on the playground. On the menu: waffles, churros, hot dogs, hot chocolate and mulled wine, enough to warm up young and old alike after a walk or a moment of play. A tasty and convivial interlude to enjoy with family and friends, weather permitting.

La Boissière-du-Doré Zoo invites you to experience four weekends of Christmas magic.
On 29 and 30 November, 6 and 7 December, 13 and 14 December and 20 and 21 December 2025, the park will be transformed into a veritable Christmas village.

The programme includes

• concerts at 3.30pm and 5pm
• Santa’s chalet
• mini-farm and games for children
• a special Christmas feeding tour
• and of course a Christmas market with gift ideas, decorations and delicacies.

In the hushed halls of the Château de Goulaine, the spirit of Christmas comes to life. From 14 November to 21 December 2025, the Château will be hosting “The Marvellous Story of Father Christmas”, an immersive family show created by Polaris.
Let yourself be carried away by a magical adventure tracing the mysterious origins of Father Christmas, in a sumptuous setting steeped in history.
The show invites young and old alike to follow Yule, a young hero plunged into a journey full of surprises, confectioners and spells.
More than 100 actors and extras, flamboyant costumes and captivating staging bring this magical tale to life, performed in the very heart of the castle’s rooms.
A unique experience for all the family, combining theatre, heritage and Christmas magic.

Even in winter, the guinguettes of the Vignoble Nantais reinvent themselves to offer a warm and festive setting.

In Château-Thébaud, the famous Guinguette de Pont Caffino is transformed into a mountain refuge.
With its woodland atmosphere, subdued lighting and Alpine décor, it’s the perfect place to spend a convivial moment with friends or family.
Open Thursdays from 5pm to 11pm, Fridays from 12pm to 11pm, and Saturdays and Sundays from 10.30am to 11pm, Le Refuge also offers a lunchtime catering service (12pm to 2pm).

As for Le Chalet du Vignoble, it welcomes you in a friendly, cocooning atmosphere, with its gourmet platters, hot drinks and winter decor.
