How to get to Clisson ?

Want toavoid the car? The train is an excellent, stress-free way to get to Clisson. Clisson station offers fast, regular connections with Nantes, served by both the Nantes-Clisson tram-train line and TER lines to Cholet and Les Sables-d’Olonne.

On foot a slow, sensitive approach

In the Vignoble Nantais, along the valleys of the Sèvre and Maine rivers, there is a Grande Randonnée de Pays trail that invites you to get out and about. The GR® de Pays Sèvre et Maine – Boucle du Vignoble runs from Nantes to Boussay along the Sèvre Nantaise, passing through Clisson.

Marked out in yellow and red over 103 km, this loop forms a veritable backbone to which many local loops are linked. It passes through contrasting landscapes: rivers, vineyards and wine-growing villages. The route changes with the seasons, between the freshness of the riverbanks and the changing colours of the vineyards.

By car How do I get to Clisson?

At the crossroads of the major western routes, the Vignoble Nantais benefits from a good road network, making it easy to get to from major towns or the Atlantic coast.

  • From Paris: A11, Ancenis exit, then D923 and D763 to Clisson.
  • From Bordeaux: A83, Montbert exit, then D117 to Clisson.
  • From Poitiers / Nantes / Bretagne / Côte Atlantique:
    • N249, Vallet exit, then D763 to Clisson.
    • N137 and N165 for connections to Brittany.
    • D723 from Pornic, Noirmoutier or coastal resorts.

By plane from Nantes Atlantique

Nantes Atlantique airport is just 35km from Clisson. A shuttle bus will take you to Nantes SNCF station, from where trains or tram-trains leave for Clisson.
