Bike route Vignoble NantaisMajor routes and local loops
Cycling in the Vignoble Nantais means letting yourself be guided by the bends in the rivers, skirting the rows of vines and passing through villages with evocative names. Several cycle routes criss-cross the region, from major national routes to local loops.
The Loire à Vélo crosses the north of the region at La Haye-Fouassière, providing a gentle link to Nantes, Angers and the Atlantic coast. Connecting routes have been signposted to take you from this major route to Clisson or Vallet.
Another major route, the Vélidéale (V80) links the Loire à Vélo with the Vendée via Vertou, le Pallet, Clisson and Cugand. It offers a bucolic inland alternative.
For more local exploration, the Boucles du Vignoble à Vélo form a network of 5 cycle routes, 3 of which are accessible from Le Pallet station. These varied routes allow you to explore at your own pace the hillsides of Muscadet, the banks of the Sèvre or the Marais de Goulaine, or the hedged farmland of Vignoble Nantais.
