Each year, the gates of hell open in Clisson to host one of the biggest French festivals: Hellfest. More than 200 000 rock and metal festival goers, a program composed of more than 180 groups over 4 days that year 2023. More than just a festival, the Hellfest now offers a real experience to discover, with an atmosphere never equaled, in Dantean decors and superstructures .
The Hellfest Festival, born of the passion of a local child Benjamin Barbaud, became the greatest pride of the vineyard of Nantes. Since the beginning, its distinctive artistic project has enabled the festival to gain international recognition with artists and an audience of more than 70 different nationalities. By cultivating its difference and promoting cultural and artistic diversity, the Hellfest has definitely become one of the most beautiful events in France dedicated to extreme music. Hellfest is now the biggest festival in Western Loire area and the 2nd at the national level. 2024 should confirm its place of heavyweight French festivals.
FRINGE FESTIVAL
Since 2007 the festival has been invited to Clisson in an exceptional historical setting and festival-goers can now share with the inhabitants and the tourists many activities in the city center.
